Gorky Park

By Wayne Visser

A summer day in Gorky Park
The world is freshly green and bright
New lovers stroll and children lark
While bladers glide in happy flight
A sky of grey, a wrung-out heart
My world is teetered on a knife
I wander, silent and apart
While shadows stalk my happy life
