Poetry is probably my most natural and
prolific form of creative expression. As I once put it in a
rhyme: For me, to live is to create To give expression, form and shape I have published three books of poetry - Seize the Day, Wishing Leaves, and I Am An African (see below) - and several of my poems have been published in poetry anthologies, for example Love Floats in Labours of Love, Poets Must Be in Invoking the Muse, The Highwaymen in Shattered Pillars, Stone Walls in Surrendering Thoughts and Dreaming of my Muse in Emotional Journeys. Or in magazines, like I Am An African and South Africa: From Whence We Come in Peace Africa. Others have been selected for exhibitions, for example Quest for Gold and Paralysed at the Academy of Management Arts Academy exhibition in New Orleans in 2004. Some have even been used in online educational games, for example to teach English. |

Mostly, however, it is the spark of inspiration, the process of writing and the joy of sharing which gives me the most fulfilment. Here on my homepage, I share over 450 of my poems, arranged by title, by date and by theme. The themes include: Africa, Business, Children, Cycles, Inspiration, Love, Musings, Nature, People and Places.
