I Love You Mom

Though I have tried, in song, word and rhyme

I just couldn't capture in the space of a line

How much I love you, how much I care

How when I need you, always you're there

How the freedom you've given is the freedom I need

How you've allowed me to grow, having sown the seeds

How you give of yourself and don't count the cost

How the love that's been gained will never be lost

And never can I harness in the space of one day

All that I feel and all I could say

So you must consider each day of the year

As a celebration of love by the ones you hold dear
